Welcome to my Joe Boy gallery.
A friend of mined coined the term Joe Boys a few years ago after looking at some of my images. My art has always represented how I feel. I draw from the idea that we all would all like to be in a beautiful place, with our friends and loved ones. When I was younger, I always wanted to see more positive images of gay life. When I didn't find enough of them, I began creating the images myself. I hope you enjoy them. - Joe |

Each drawing is rendered by hand. I sketch the inspirations that pop in my head, and from photos I take. After the initial sketch I do a full finished drawing and apply ink to it. Next, I scan the image, creating a digital file on my computer. The scan is then cleaned up the art in Adobe Photoshop and then exported to Adobe Streamline. Streamline is used to turn the rasterized artwork into vectored lines. Now time to go back into Photoshop for coloring. |
